Mobile VAS sign installed in Scraptoft
We now have a mobile sign to discourage speeding. It will be moved between four sites in Scraptoft: Beeby Road, Hamilton Lane, Scraptoft Lane and Pulford Drive.
We were able to get the sign due to data gathered by Cllr Fielden and Cllr Graham under the Community Speedwatch Scheme.

New Parish Councillor for Scraptoft
Scraptoft Parish Council has a new Parish Councillor, Fahimah Adam is a resident of Scraptoft, she has lived here for over five years.
Upon her appointment Fahimah said: "I'm excited to serve Scraptoft as a Councillor and look forward to meeting more of you and working with you all."

Big thanks to Cllr Graham this Christmas
The New Age Kurlers at Scraptoft Community Hub held their Christmas party at the hub this year and showed their appreciation to Cllr Gillian Graham who has tirelessly made refreshments for them every week since they started four years ago. The picture shows John Duval present Cllr Graham with flowers and chocolate.

The application to make Covert Lane 'access only' is in consultation
Due to all the nuisance traffic along Covert Lane, we are applying for it to become 'access only' to motor vehicles. The application to make Covert Lane access only is currently in consultation. The day Strictly Come Dancing came to Scraptoft Community Hub!
It was a rainy day in Scraptoft when a bit of Strictly sparkle was sprinkled on Scraptoft Community Hub.

Wildflower verges work getting done
Scraptoft Parish Council are now taking part in the wildflower verge scheme endorsed by Leicestershire County Council. It involves not mowing the grass and letting it grow until the end of summer to allow a small haven for wildlife and hopefully for wildflowers to grow. TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER BEEBY ROAD, SCRAPTOFT
A road closure is required on Beeby Road, Scraptoft on the 30th September 2021 for 3 days. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Severn Trent Water to facilitate new water connection.
