Remembrance event

Remembrance event

Cllrs from the Parish Council attended a Remembrance event at the Memorial Homes and laid a wreath at the memorial on Edith Cole Park in Scraptoft.

The memorial in Edith Cole Park (pictured) is to remember the U.S. 82nd Airborne Division who were nearly all killed in an attack on German forces in Arnhem. Prior to that they were camped in the 'War Field' in Scraptoft off Beeby Road and Shady Lane in Evington. More »
