Community Hub opens its doors for the first time

Come and see the Community Hub for the first time. It will be opening its doors to the public at 2.30 pm on Wednesday December 6th 2017. It will be open until 6.30pm and then the Parish Council will hold its first meeting there at 7pm - everyone welcome!

Road closure on Barkby Road 4th Dec



Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.

Barkby Road will be closed on 04th December 2017 for 1 day.

The road will be closed between the junction of Hungarton Lane and the junction of Beeby Road.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety to allow Leicestershire County Council undertake carriageway patching works. More »

During the restricted period, the alternative diversion route will be via:- Scraptoft Lane (Beeby), Beeby Road (Scraptoft), Hamilton Lane (Scraptoft), Hamilton Lane (Barkby Thorpe), Thorpe Lane (Barkby) and vice versa.

Leicestershire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during these works.

Community litter pick collected over 10 bags of rubbish

It was a beautiful autumn morning to be out and about in Scraptoft on Saturday 18th November. Two newcomers to the village volunteered along with four members of the Parish Council and other volunteers who kindly come every time.
